Vision
Empower society and the public and private sectors with access to reliable, reusable government data to support transparency, innovation, and evidence-based decision-making.
Mission
Provide a unified platform to publish and index government data according to open standards, ensuring data quality and easy access for everyone via the web and APIs.
Strategic Objectives
What we aim to achieve
- Proactively publish high-value data in open formats (CSV/JSON/GeoJSON).
- Provide access through well-documented APIs to facilitate integrations.
- Enhance data quality, consistency, and freshness of updates.
- Engage the community, researchers, and entrepreneurs through data requests and feedback.
- Protect privacy and classified data in compliance with national regulations.
Governance & Standards
How we ensure quality and consistency
The portal is managed under a national open data policy that defines roles and responsibilities, the publishing lifecycle, update schedules, and open-use licensing.
- A data officer in each publishing organization.
- Automated validation of CSV/JSON files and metadata prior to publication.
- Periodic alerts to update data according to the approved frequency.
We adopt unified description standards (localized DCAT-AP), consistent field names, and standardized geographic encodings to ensure searchability and interoperability across entities.
- A unified metadata schema for datasets and resources.
- Support for spatial data and standard map projections.
- Persistent identifiers for resources and links to historical versions.
